Priyamaniβs Bhamakalapa was directly released on Aha OTT platform on February 11, 2022 and attracted huge attention and audience. Based on this success, it has been announced that the sequel will be released in theaters.
This trend of releasing Telugu OTT sequels in theaters was first started by Maa Oori Polimera and is now followed by Bhamakalapam 2. Hotstarβs Maa Oori Polimera released directly on OTT and the sequel of the film recently released in theaters and collected huge money at the box office.
Bhamakalapam 2 is directed by Abhimanyu and produced by Bapinidu B, Music is composed by Prashant R Vihari. The first installment of Bhamakalapam cast includes Priyamani, Seerat Kapoor, Brahmaji, Kishore, John Vijay, Shantirao and Sharanyapradeep. The makers have yet to announce an official release date, but the film is supposed to hit theaters in early 2024.
